SURVIVE & SAVE
WINNERS
Brett Howarth & Izzy Serventi
Congratulations to Brett and Izzy for coming joint first in the Survive & Save Competition!

Brett and Izzy have been at the club for a number of years and are VERY competitive! To win our Survive & Save category, they had to demonstrate their skills by performing CPR, rescuing an uncooperative casualty, rescuing an unconscious casualty/lifting them from deep water, performing a water-based rescue, and performing a rope rescue. We can't wait to see what these two achieve next!

WILTSHAW AWARD
SPECIAL AWARD WINNERS
Jackson Chandler & Alfie Bebbington
This award is given to a person who has made substantial progress during the past 12 months.

These two started the club in our sessions for weaker swimmers. When they first started with us, they were unable to confidently swim a length and clung to the edge of the pool at all cost. After being with us for over a year now, they are confidently swimming down the middle of the pool, treading water and performing a variety of rescues. They have made immense personal progress and we are so proud of their resilience and commitment.
MARGARET ELSON TROPHY
SPECIAL AWARD WINNER
Em Serventi
This award is given to a person who has gone above and beyond to support the club over the past 12 months.

Since taking over the club last September, Em has put hundreds of hours into the club. Not only does she turn up to our weekly sessions, she runs the social media, has been involved in the open water events, has had many meetings with members of the executive committee, has helped create our new website, has become an ambassador for the RLSS UK's 'Make a Splash' campaign and many many more things. Em is amazing, and this is shown in everything she does for the club.
INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR
SPECIAL AWARD WINNER
Liam Potts
This award is given to the instructor the members feel has gone above and beyond in the last 12 months.

Since taking over the club with Em in September, Liam has worked tirelessly to ensure that our Saturday sessions run smoothly, he has introduced the Online Club Manager system for Club communications and award tracking, and he has organised the first Club Competition since the Covid Pandemic! Liam has also been working with our new group, who lacked confidence in the water when they started, and could not swim 25 metres. These members have achieved so much, and could not have done it without Liam's help, support and enthusiasm.
